It's easy to set; just browse to Google.com and click the "Wallpaper the Google homepage" link to set the image. You can use Picasa pics, uploaded pics or choose from a public library.

Looks like someone's trying to compete with Bing a little bit :) Also, before you ask. Gamezone.com reports that a Google Spokesman says:

According to a Google spokesperson, “the homepage does not load any slower. With or without a background image, the Google search elements show as quickly as before, allowing users to search just as quickly as without the new feature. We make this possible by post-loading the photo—we load the search elements first and then load the picture into your browser cache and show it as soon as it is available. Meanwhile you can already perform your search.”

The Killzone 3 trailer was released today!

What is it?

Super Mario Bros Crossover is a flash game that recreates the original Super Mario Bros for Nintendo and allows you to play it as characters from other classic Nintendo games. It is a tribute to classic NES games and anyone that grew up playing Nintendo should enjoy it. Click on the image above to play it.

That looked like soooo much fun, that I wanted to check it out. The original can be found at Exploding Rabbit, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to embed it here for you guys and gals to play :)

What's more awesome? Watching something get built or watching something get destroyed? According to break.com this Power Plant cost more than $100 Million and 3 years to build. It took 10 seconds to take it down.

According to Gamasutra Legendary Pictures has acquired the rights for a Mass Effect movie. The article states:

BioWare parent company Electronic Arts said Monday that Legendary Pictures acquired the theatrical feature film rights to the Mass Effect science-fiction series. Warner Bros. will distribute the movie worldwide under a co-production and co-financing agreement with Legendary.

After a little research I ran across the Legendary Pictures Press section of their website which confirms Gamasutra's claim.

As most video game converted to movies have shown us ... Legendary Pictures is walking a fine line. I have high hopes for them, but at the same time the past failures of other films keeps ringing in the back of my mind.

What do you guys think? Lots of web sites are reporting that Mass Effect has tons of depth and there are lots of elements to build on. The issue comes in when they start "building" on those elements and start translating them to their "taste". As long as Uwe Boll doesn't direct it ... I think we'll be good to go! ;)
