The Starcraft 2 logo belongs to Blizzard entertainment.

First, I want to thank Cralor, for pointing me to this wonderful piece of news. He passed the news to me, and I immediately headed to the SC2 Blog. According to the SC2 Blog the Beta and release timeframe have been announced. On the site you are presented with this slide:



That image belongs to the SC2 Blog, and was provided on their website today. They claim it comes from the investor conference call. It clearly states that the beta will be later this month. This is exciting news for lots of people that have been patiently waiting for this game. I know it's one that I've been waiting for.

The official website doesn't actually announce this, but you can take this time to view the available screenshots and read about the game. Once we see official word on Blizzard's website or Starcraft 2's website, we'll make sure to update this post and announce it on Facebook and Twitter. Mike also mentioned a mid-2010 release date for StarCraft 2, in line with previous Blizzard representatives’ estimations of 4-6 months of beta testing.
