Mashable is reporting on IE9 today. "IE 9" you exclaim! "I haven't even upgraded from IE 6." This article is definitely for you. Oh and go to http://update.microsoft.com now!
Now that we are past that and you have IE 7 or 8 we can continue. You can access the test drive of IE 9 today from this link. According to the release notes; Microsoft will support HTML5 with this browser and will speed up browsing. While the browser speed issue is a common promise from Microsoft ... HTML 5 is great news. Don't know what HTML 5 is? Click me.
Mashable is also reporting that IE9 will "not support Windows XP.". GASP! If that was a shock to you, then you haven't been paying attention. Windows XP was so 2 OS's ago. The entire XP support team is still working on fixing all the issues with Vista ;-) As a developer I still hate Internet Explorer with a passion, but they still hold the Market Share with the majority of you people using IE 6. What are you still doing here if you do? Go update your PC! ARGH. You can check out all the cool demos on the test drive site.
What do you guys think about this news?
