New Screenshots from Age of Conan: Rise of the Godlsayer

New Screenshots have been released on the official AOC website and we wanted to bring them to you! The latest article over at IGN.com discusses the release and shows off the screens according to the AOC community page.

"The story of the expansion is the story of an empire crumbling into chaos," says Bylos. "Chosain Province is a region full of war and humanity at its worst, but on the eastern edge of the playfield, the once proud imperial highway still leads east to the heart of the empire. The road is choked with vines and weeds and none dare travel that way anymore. Why? Because it leads into the heart of the darkness."

AoC following DDO footsteps?

As some of you know, DDO started a F2P section back in June, and from this writer's experience it was a really nice addition. I was able to check out the game, and if I was interested I could pass the cap and start paying. Since Turbine made that decision, a lot of MMO's have been trying this scenario. Today the news is that AoC is going to give it a try... That's right... AOC has a F2P section now to get you interested in the game. According to the Examiner:

The company is offering a free "trial" that allows gamers to wander the entire Island of Tortage for free. In fact, gamers can play the game forever without having to upgrade to a full subscription... or until Funcom says otherwise. That's certainly not a bad deal, but there's a catch.

According to the company, gamers must first create a free account, download the client, and then jump into the MMORPG before January 1, 2010. There's also another catch: the level cap is only 20, so don't expect to conquer the island as a level 100 barbarian.

In the article they reference the game's website. You have only 2 or so weeks, so hurry! Look for me there, because I'll be giving this one a shot for free :)
