We've all been there... You log into facebook and your feed is completely taken over by someone's Farmville activity. They had a bored day at the office and now you are having to scroll through pages of Farmville events.

Sure you can hide the Farmville events from your feed. Don't know how? Simple hover over the event and click the hide button. It'll ask you if you want to hide your friend of Farmville. This is your choice :D

Now you can have a little fun with your friends and family. The app is called FarmVillian. What does FarmVillian do? It let's you post anecdote FarmVille posts like these:

You found your neighbour playing leap-frog with a sheep on your farm. Oh my!

You potentially found an epidemic of Mad Cow disease on your farm.

You can now breed Wookies on your farm

You can now build fence poles on your farm.

You found a dead hooker buried on your farm. Oh my!

You can now grow hemp on your farm, you know, for making rope.

They each come with their own accompanying picture. I hope you all enjoy this little tidbit. I know I'm going to have fun with it.

Blizzard made this announcement yesterday:

IRVINE, Calif. – May 5, 2010 – Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. announced today that its Battle.net® gaming service will integrate with Facebook®, linking the world's premier online gaming platform with the world's most popular social platform. The first step in the integration will enable StarCraft® II: Wings of Liberty™ players to quickly add Blizzard gamers who are friends on Facebook to their Battle.net friend lists, facilitating their social gaming experience on the service.

"We're pleased to be working with Facebook to integrate their platform with Battle.net to enhance the social-entertainment experience for our players," said Paul Sams, chief operating officer of Blizzard Entertainment. "This new functionality will make it easier than ever to connect with friends on Battle.net and play StarCraft II and future Blizzard Entertainment games together."

The new Facebook functionality in Battle.net will be tested in the near future via the ongoing StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty beta test and will be available to all StarCraft II players when the game ships later this year. Information about other Facebook-related features on Battle.net will be announced at a later date.

I see this being a good idea and a bad idea. Firstly, I have enough spam with Farmville and whateverville is out there. Secondly, I get enough crap from my friends and family about what games I'm currently playing and that I play them too much. Well, you know that it will post to your wall that you are playing WoW, Starcraft, etc.

I see it being a good idea on the other hand though, because people that you may not have thought are Starcraft/WoW players ... Really are hardcore fans. It'll be easier to find a game with friends and family. The downside to that is I don't involve my facebook friends with gaming... Only my twitter friends are my gaming friends.

We'll see. I'll definitely at least give it a try.

I did this over on my personal site, and thought it was too good not to bring to Geek Smash Me. Check out this article on how to link your facebook, twitter, and buzz accounts automatically.... With the introduction of Buzz to the world, my question as an avid Social Networking user was: "Now I need to copy/paste between each site to update my status'?". If you have the same question ... I have a solution for you here.

It's not another application, and it only takes a few minutes of your time. I admit this isn't the perfect solution, but it will work perfectly until further integration is done by Google, or one of your favorite Social Networking apps/sites. I honestly use Tweetdeck due to it's integration of Twitter/Facebook and it's gorgeous tabbed style. Unfortunately, it doesn't do Buzz. I didn't want to copy/paste everything, so I figured out a solution that works to combine all 3 automatically for you.

First step: Twitter Account Setup/Configuration

Open a Twitter account. Why you ask? Because it will be our gateway between facebook and buzz. Crimm, you ask: "I don't want people reading my tweets/status', why should I do this?". That's actually not an issue. Once you open your twitter account, go to settings, and look towards the bottom. You'll see this:



Check the "Protect my Tweets" box. That way you're tweets won't be public. There is one caveat though. That is, bots will automatically make sure to check your followers occasionally.

Second Step: Facebook Account configuration

Not too long ago, I wrote this article on Crimm.me about integrating your Twitter and Facebook accounts. The process is very simple. Here's what you need to do:

• Go here (http://apps.facebook.com/twitter/) and fill out the information.
  

Now when you update your twitter account, your facebook account will be automatically updated with the SAME tweet.

You have now integrated Facebook and Twitter. Just remember, if you are like me and have websites/scripts/etc automatically posting to Twitter ... It will go to your facebook too!

Last step is Buzz.

Third Step: Buzz account configuration

Visit your buzz account and you will see this at the top:



Click the "Connected Sites" link and you will see:



Add your twitter account to the connected sites.

Conclusion:

You're all done. All you need to do now, is update your private or public (Depending on your options above) twitter account and your facebook and buzz accounts will be automatically updated. Note: Sometimes it takes a few minutes to show on Facebook. Just be patient.

Where does this leave you? Now you can use all the cool twitter apps like: Tweetdeck to update your status or link pictures on the fly using the cool iPhone/PC layout.
