There's another good read over at MMO Hub today. It's titled "The good and bad of free-to-play 'DDO'". I haven't played many F2P MMO's myself. I played one that was called Silk Road and while it was fun ... It matched this article exactly. Take a few minutes to read it today.

As you might have gathered from my articles on the things I love and hate about "Dungeons & Dragons Online," I am very passionate about the Turbine's D&D MMORPG. It wasn't my first MMORPG, so not much can be chalked up to nostalgia, but it was the most recent one to really hook me in, pulling me away from the real world for days at a time as I fought Giants and Bearded Devils in Stormreach.

As time went by, my love for the MMORPG dwindled for a few reasons; mostly the userbase, which seemed to shrink as weeks went by. With the impending launch of "Eberron Unlimited," Turbine has a plan -- one that has a chance to truly save the MMORPG. Most likely, not all will go well. However, there are some good things to look forward to -- and some bad things that you might think about planning for.
