New "Fallout" MMO concept art released

Cinema Blend is displaying new Concept Art released recently of the upcoming Fallout MMO.

This is actually the first I've heard of this MMO, so I went out in search of more information about it and here's what I have found. Apparently Bethesda has been trying to sue Interplay to stop the production of the game. Recent news reported by Geek.com and Cinema Blend is that the injection is failed, so the game production continues on! A snippet of the Geek.com article gives us some insight on what the issue is:

With the release of Fallout 3 Bethesda has shown its purchase of the franchise from Interplay was the best thing that could have happened. Even though gamers may have been happy, Bethesda management wasn’t due to Interplay continuing to sell the original Fallout games and apparently developing an MMO.

In April Bethesda decided to sue Interplay as their agreement stated Interplay had to commence development on the MMO by April 4th 2009 or the rights reverted to them. With no sign of the game it was the only course of action Bethesda could take to get the MMO rights for itself.

Since then Interplay has released screenshots of what is meant to be the Fallout MMO, also known as Project V13. They were revealed in November, several months after the lawsuit was filed. Now a month on and it looks like those screenshots and the other development evidence Interplay made available was enough to win the case. The court has ruled in favor of Interplay meaning Bethesda cannot develop an MMO based on the franchise.

Unfortunately, there isn't much more than that, except for some speculation here and there. I found some more screenshots over at Geek.com that look pretty interesting. This will be one game I will keep my eye on.
