I actually saw this poke over at MMORPG but it refers to a Kotaku article, so we'll go directly to the source. According to an older Kotaku article there has been a 40K MMO in the works for a while, and they have now posted some tiddy bits of concept art for us to drewl over. This is actually my first time hearing about this news, and I'm very excited. According to Vigil Game's official page:

Warhammer 40,000 is one of the most eagerly anticipated MMOs on the horizon. As long time fans of Warhammer 40,000, we're pulling out all the stops to deliver a game that will plunge players deep into this incredibly rich universe.

We’ll be announcing more about the game in the months to come, so stay tuned.

I don't know about you guys, but I really enjoyed Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Unfortunately, due to some circumstances and gameplay issues it just didn't go the distance for me. The Warhammer 40K Universe is actually more interesting to me and makes more of a MMO sense to me in regards to Warhammer. Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is based on old school Warhammer, and I just couldn't get into it. Give me Space Marines and now we are talking!
